Mens Workshops

Yoga as practice, not performance

The workshops we run are held by myself and Emma Davies, in small group settings of up to 12 people, creating an intimate space for honest exploration and connection.

These 90-minute sessions are designed to deepen our understanding of yoga and explore how the practice extends beyond the mat and into everyday life—enhancing our relationship with ourselves, others, and the world around us. The traditional practices we share encourage self-inquiry and courageous self-confrontation, rather than focusing solely on form or flexibility.

Tailored specifically for men, these discussions explore how we, as men, can use a practice like yoga to reconnect with ourselves and our wholeness. When men are grounded and connected in this way, everyone around them feels safer.

What Makes This Different from a Studio Class

Classes refine technique and introduce topics.
Workshops deepen our understanding of these concepts and enable us the time and setting to go deep and explore in a contained environment,
without judgement.

How the Workshops run:

  • We pick a topic eg ‘Feminine and Masculine Energies and how they show up in everyday life’.

  • Hatha practice - 60-minute.

  • Hold a 30-minute Q&A style discussion.

  • Receive take home, self-reflection points.

  • Return for Day 2.

  • Hatha practice - 60-minute.

  • Hold a 30-minute Q&A style discussion.

  • Self-reflection and closing discussion.

You will be gently challenged and held in steadiness - Grounded in traditional teachings.

Why Men? and why yoga?

While the intention was never to use yoga as a tool to target a specific pain point, inevitably it became one. At its roots, this practice is devotional, confrontational, and grounded in deep self-inquiry and radical honesty. If men are to face their shame, guilt, and internal suffering, it requires exactly that: devotion, confrontation, self-inquiry, and unwavering honesty.

Through this work, you will learn to:

  • Recognise your true nature beyond reaction and identity

  • Hold space for yourself

  • Sit in silence without the need to escape

  • Meet discomfort without collapsing or controlling

  • Cultivate compassion through disciplined devotion

  • Practice radical self-honesty without shame

  • Return to Self
